Our Programs

Sunday Terms

Sunday Terms contain a foundational sequence of topics relevant and important to your daughter at this stage of her development. These terms run on Sunday afternoons for six weeks from 1-4:30. Girls aged 9-11 are invited to join. We touch on a number of topics relevant to their social, emotional and physical development such as emotions, friendships and tricky social situations, puberty changes and more. We also cook and share a substantial snack together and spend some time doing art & craft. The girls are immersed in the opportunity to build on important skills such as cooperation and sharing, listening, greater confidence speaking in a group, planning, food preparation and tidying up, to name a few. Each group is facilitated by two mentors.

After-School Terms

Our after-school group is a less structured time open to girls aged 9-13 and runs from 3:30-5:30 on a weekday. These terms also run for six weeks. After sharing a nutritious and filling snack and hanging out catching up with one another, the girls have the opportunity to engage in art, craft or other age-appropriate activities and discussions relevant to situations they face socially or the changes they are experiencing in their bodies during adolescence. While it’s not necessary to have attended a Sunday Term first, we recommend it and most of the girls in the after-school terms have gone through our Sunday program. Each group is facilitated by two mentors.

Extra Activities

From time to time we host supervised film nights at our local video shop. We may share a meal first and we have time for a short sharing after the film to share our feelings about the film and explore some of the themes that it presented. We have periodic Night Circles for young women aged 12 – 14 where we look a bit deeper into phenomena like moon cycles, our own cycles, dreams, intuition and similar topics. New events and activities are always being birthed.

For Parents

Each Sunday term includes one evening circle for mothers/carers and one evening circle for the fathers/carers.

We bring along some resources that the girls have access to and also some that may be supportive on your parenting journey.

This is an opportunity to hear more about topics we explore in circles, a chance to ask questions and also to connect with other parents in the community and maybe even make a few new friends.
